OM - 2
The OM-2 Mining frigate is the workhorse of Outer Ring Mining Corporation. Typically dispatched in small fleets, the OM-2 uses it's omni-directional mining beam to strip asteroids of ore, vaporizing and storing the valuable materials until it can be deposited at a refinery or mobile tanker.
The design of the OM-2 was inspired by modern construction and mining equipment, rugged and capable.
